Kelly brings a warm, creative, and deeply rooted approach to Move Well’s seasonal recipes and nourishment content. Her love for food began in Michigan—picking fruit in the summer and cooking alongside family—which shaped her belief that food is both connection and care.
Kelly trained as a chef and cooked in fine dining kitchens in Napa and Chicago, contributing to a team awarded two Michelin stars. While she loved the craft and creativity of restaurant cooking, the intensity of fine dining left her seeking more balance, sustainability, and purpose. That shift led her to become a Registered Dietitian and to spend the last decade working in school foodservice, where she uses her culinary skills to help students build meaningful, healthy relationships with food.
On Move Well, Kelly develops nourishing, approachable recipes that honor seasonality, simplicity, and the joy of cooking. Her dishes encourage a kinder, more intuitive relationship with nourishment—one that supports emotional well-being, grounding, and daily ritual.
